Ok, I don't know 'the band,' I know one really talented musician IN the band! Barry Manilow came to town last night giving me a wonderful opportunity to not only see a classic performer live, but reconnect with a friend. Joey Melotti is a friend I met years ago through a dear friend and also very talented musician, Jayne Olderman.

Jayne was my real estate agent for the very first house I purchased, but then I came to find out she's an amazing musician and composer. When I got the gig at Foxwoods Resort Casino, I hired Jayne to write the new theme song for the resort. Enter her writing partner, Joey Melotti. The two of them did a bang up job on the them and I've been fortunate to call Joey a friend ever since.

The show was a wonderful trip down memory lane and Barry was what we really needed that night. I'll admit I teared up a few times reminiscing about my late mother during "I Am Your Child" and "I Made It Through the Rain." Even better, I got to hang with Joey for breakfast the next day before he had to jet off to the next show. Both Jayne and Joey are available to develop songs and talent, so if that musical bug has captured you, reach out to them. Super super nice people!
